London Calling
So sorry it's been so long but London has consumed us. Not nearly enough time to see, eat or do all we want but we have managed to sneak in some picnics at Hyde park, window shopping on Oxford street, the Tate modern and British museums and all of those touristy bits at trafalgar square. Absolutely loved every moment in this chaotic international hub. Unable to post pics but will do once we find some free wifi. Now it's off to scotland to get in touch with my roots. Xx

Gone Bananas
This summer season is all about vibrant colours and bold prints. So what better way to celebrate it than with fruity cocktails and flowing dresses?
Well.. Prada thought twice and incorporated the bold banana into this seasons collection with banana printed blouses and flowing skirts, to kitschy accessories. So why has everyone gone so fruity? Stella McCartney's citrus melange rocked runways, and now even Zara is coming out with its very own fruit inspired motif. I absolutely love it, perhaps more than fruit itself!!

Loco- my sister Cassi's cat and his giant slice of watermelon

Hands Off
Wa wa, weee wa.
If this isn't love at first sight... I don't know what is. These Alexander McQueen clutches are to die for.. I just don't know which one I would pick. If only I had a couple thousand dollars kickin around, my hands would be all over these.... maybe one day.
On a side note.. one more week until I am home free!! Now only if the McQueen exhibit were at the Tate as opposed to the Met..

Misty Mountain Hop
Went to Whistler this weekend for the Telus Ski and Snowboard festival. No complaints, the weather was fantastic, spent some QT (quality time) with friends and family, got to see Broken Social Scene play for free, and not only that, they played Modest Mouse's ""World At Large" which was a fantastic cover. Ended the weekend at the convention centre for a late night dance party with RJD2. Was pleasantly surprised at the number of cute outfits I saw in the bathroom. Global print mini dresses, mocassins, hippie headbands.. it was a hipsters paradise.
Super into coloured watches right now, also love the hand fixture. Display case at The Circle.
Sweet faux antler chandelier at Earls.
Now it's time to catch up on my ZZZ's.

Time To Get Away
I'm just going to jump into this blog with both feet, and hope that I keep afloat, but only time will tell. As I embark on my adventure I thought this would be a good medium for me to jot down my thoughts, ideas, inspiration.... to keep in touch, to reassure that I am still alive and well and, to share my experiences with you.
So as the excitement brews inside me for my much anticipated journey to Europa, the thought of leaving friends and family behind is a bit daunting. After months of preparation, its finally sinking in.
Just as I thought things couldn't get any better, I heard that James Murphy (of LCD Soundsystem) would be joining the line up to Benicassim! After hearing the disheartening news of the dissolution of LCD a few months ago, I was surprised that I would so quickly have another chance to see the man. Benicassim is a 4 day music-fest that takes place in Costa Azahar, Espana. I am already planning my most festival worthy outfits! Feather earrings, maxi dresses and navajo prints here I come!
Life is swell, isn't it?
Until next time.
